Ecoistituto del Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy
Ecoistituto is a non-profit research institute created in 1989.
Ecoistituto’s activity focuses on sustainable development following a multidisciplinary approach finalized to promote effective and sustainable results and to enhance the livability of citizens.
Ecoistituto collaborates with higher education institutions, schools, and governmental institutions organizing conferences, courses, seminars, and workshops on environmental education, participation in public decision making, digital social innovation, and special needs education.
For the last 21 years, an annual international conference has been organized in collaboration with IPSAPA (Interregional Society for Participation in Agribusiness Landscape and Environmental Management) and the University of Udine about the themes of the “landscape mosaic”.
Since 2005, Ecoistituto created the series of publications “Living in places”, devoted to the local cultures and 15 issues have been published focusing on vernacular architecture.
Members of Ecoistituto (45) are University professors (especially from the Udine University), professionals, experts, and researchers engaged in different scopes: ecology, education, rural economy, agribusiness, sociology, psychology, social anthropology, architecture, geography.
In the last few years, Ecoistituto carried out research on parent training of parents of children with behavioral disturbances.
Ecoistituto organized initiative to train social educators, social workers, and social volunteers in supporting families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Ecoistituto is engaged in education: online learning solutions, such as digital transformative learning, digital social learning, online participatory learning, and online environmental learning.

The Interdisciplinary Network of Special and Intercultural Education, «INCLUDE» is a scientific association founded in 2011 to promote inclusive practices in school and society in accordance with the principles of the Convention against Discrimination in Education (United Nations Conventions Series, Vol 429, No. 693 ) and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Article 24, 2006 ). The ultimate goal of INCLUDE network is to improve the quality of life of children and families at risk of exclusion, to promote changes in social attitudes and perceptions towards disability, diversity and otherness and to contribute actively and effectively to the creation of a ” one school and one community for all” (Nanou, 2013, Efstathiou, 2013, Soulis, 2013, Patsidou-Eliadou, 2013). “INCLUDE” approaches holistic inclusive theory and practice. According to a holistic approach, each system (social, physical, linguistic, chemical, etc.) is a set of interacting or interdependent components that work as a whole in the individual, family, school and society. INCLUDE matured experience in creative thinking as well as in adult education (expecially low qualified and low-skilled adults).
Fundacja im. Zofii Zamenhof, Poland
Zofia Zamenhof Foundation aims at propagating the idea of freedom, the rules of democracy, cultural diversity and inclusion. Throughout our work, we want to show how to solve social problems. We want to contribute to increasing the level of education of various social groups in countries where we are going to run our work and to have an influence on the integration processes between nations. We are certain that this is education which gives a chance to grow and makes the social differences smaller. Intercultural dialogue is possible thanks to education. Thus, our work aims also at education and training, also in the aspect of international cooperation. We also want to propagate the knowledge about the people connected with the ideas of our foundation. Foundation is involved in the educational and scientific activities related to the social causes and reduction of unemployment. There is a strong focus on cooperation with Eastern Partnership countries and working with educational institutions at various levels. Our main focus is the groups at the risk of social exclusion with regards to labour marker such as disabled, NEETs, low-skilled adults and domestic violence victims. Among strategic objectives of ZZF are the following in the youth field: – Promote young people’s active citizenship in general and their European citizenship in particular; – Develop solidarity and promote tolerance, inclusion among young people, in particular in order to foster social cohesion in the European Union and partner countries; – Foster mutual understanding between young people in different countries. Project in the field Inclusion and youth: – “From Garage to WIG20 – Academy of Innovation and Start-ups” POWR.03.01.00-00-T001/18. ZZF is a participant of this project than ia financed by the European Social Fund. The project aim is through a series of schools for people in difficult living conditions to provide them with the skills to work with new information technologies and form a start in the IT profession. ZZF role: research, development and training for NEETs, low-skilled or disabled young people. – “Believe in yourself” – project of ALSRT (Ukraine), higher economic education, non-formal business training for people with disabilities in Ukraine. ZZF role: lectures, webinars for listeners in Ukraine, expertise, and counseling on the development of curricula.
Educational Centre Socialization (ECS)
The non-governmental-organization Educational Centre Socialization (ECS) was established on January, 19, 2005.
The goals of ECS is:
-to facilitate strengthening of the democratic and civil society by means of educating the society (including disabled, retired and low-income people) within carrying out seminars, courses, creative workshops, summer camps, etc. thereby social development of the person ( in the branches of education, culture, ecology, health, etc.) being insured;
-to carry out research in the sphere of education, culture, ecology, health, etc.; to analize, publish and popularize the results been received implementing the information technologies, mass media, etc.;
-to facilitate communicating within our country and in the international level by means of projects and other kinds of co-operation with the Latvian and foreign social partners, as well as to raise funding, grants and undertake other activities for attracting funding, realising the goals of the society, developing of the society and ensuring its activity been allowed by the law of the Republic of Latvia.
